Core capability
Data furnishing and credit reporting
DebtPro is a registered data furnisher with Dun & Bradstreet, Experian Business and Equifax Business. We report commercial credit data in Metro 2 format so businesses can establish and build credit profiles through accurate, timely reporting.
What data furnishing is
Reporting account information to the bureaus, correctly
When a creditor reports an account's status, balance and payment history to a credit bureau, it is acting as a data furnisher. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, furnishers must report information that is accurate and complete. DebtPro has passed each bureau's credentialing process and submits data monthly in the industry-standard Metro 2 format.
Metro 2 format
The CDIA standard that defines every field, position and status code the bureaus accept. We format and validate each file before transmission to prevent rejections and reporting errors.
Monthly cycle
Each bureau assigns a reporting window. Our system generates, validates and transmits the file in that window, with out-of-cycle updates available when an account is paid in full.
e-OSCAR disputes
Consumer disputes arrive as ACDVs through e-OSCAR. Trained staff investigate, verify or correct, and respond within the 30-day FCRA window, with a documented audit trail for every case.
Where we report
Three business bureaus, one monthly file
Lenders pull from different bureaus. Reporting to all three keeps a business profile consistent wherever it is checked.
Dun & Bradstreet
Global Trade Exchange
Trade payment data drives the PAYDEX score. A business needs at least three active tradelines reported to D&B to generate one; scores of 80 or above mean the business pays on time or early.
Experian Business
Commercial Data Furnisher Program
Account status, payment history and utilization feed the Intelliscore Plus and the Financial Stability Risk Score used by lenders and suppliers.
Equifax Business
Data Contributor Program
Commercial account data contributes to the Business Credit Risk Score and the Business Failure Score in the Equifax commercial database.
How reporting works
From account setup to a visible tradeline
Account setup and agreement
We confirm the business, its DUNS number (we can help initiate one) and the accounts to be reported under our Data Furnishing Agreement.
Monthly Metro 2 submission
After the first payment cycle, the account enters our next reporting window. Files are validated, transmitted and the bureau's acceptance is logged.
Posting and monitoring
Bureaus post within 2 to 7 business days; most files reflect the data within 30 days. Rejected records are flagged and corrected before the next cycle.
Disputes and corrections
Disputes are investigated through e-OSCAR, and the account is flagged as disputed in the next file while the investigation is open.
